Mitch Byrd

Artist

Mitch Byrd is an illustrator that has worked for numerous companies such as Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image. His work has encompassed many popular titles like Green Lantern, Lady Death, Generation X, Shi, and Starman. He was also called upon to do liscensed work on Predator and Starship Troopers. He currently is working on a project with Barry Gregory which will see print very soon.

Mitch resides in Mississippi where he can be seen at 3 Alarm Comics when he’s not at home working on his next project.

As Pensacon 2025 comes to a close, organizers would like to thank the community, fans, guests, volunteers and venue staffs for their continued support.

Pensacon will return for its lucky 13th annual convention, February 20-22, 2026 in downtown Pensacola.

Eight initial guests were announced during a press conference at the Pensacola Bay Center today. They are:

Comedian and actor Paul Reiser, star of hit movies like “Aliens” (which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026) and “Beverly Hills Cop,” as well as iconic TV series such as “Mad About You,” “Stranger Things,” “The Boys” and “My Two Dads.”

A reunion of stars from the seminal 1987 vampire film, “The Lost Boys,” featuring actors Jason Patric, Jamison Newlander, Billy Wirth and Chance Michael Corbitt.

The iconic stars of the hit TV series “CHiPs,” Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox.

Actor Marti Matulis, known for his “Star Wars” work in “Skeleton Crew” and “The Mandalorian” as well as roles in “Star Trek: Picard,” “Star Trek: Enterprise,” “Teen Wolf,” “Evil,” “Smile,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Red One,” “Westworld” and “Studio 666.”

These eight guests are just the start of a 2026 guest list that will continue to grow. Fans are urged to follow Pensacon.com and our social media on Facebook and Instagram all year long to be the first to receive new announcements.
