Wil Traval is best known as Will Simpson on the Netflix original series Marvel’s Jessica Jones and plays DC character Human Target in the CW’s Arrow.
Wil Traval is a dynamic actor who has had a successful career both in the US and in his native Australia. From Victoria, Australia, Wil Traval along with his mother and four siblings were raised on a farm two hours from Melbourne. Wil started out as a small-town math geek who found his passion for the industry while making short films with his best friend in high school. After high school, Wil studied at NIDA (National Institute for Dramatic Art) and earned his bachelor in performing arts (theatre).
After graduation Wil landed a lead role in Network Ten’s mini-series Jessica as Billy Simple, which then lead to his success in scoring a main cast role in Seven Network’s long-standing medical drama All Saints as Dr. Jack Quade. Wil then starred in Nine Network’s Underbelly as Officer Dooley.
Wil moved to the U.S. is 2010 to further establish his career and has since appeared in TNT’s Leverage, A&E’s The Glades, Showtime’s Dexter, and E4’s The Inbetweeners to name a few.
Wil was then cast in a lead role in ABC’s Red Widow as Irwin Petrov, the no-good, drug- dealing brother.
Since then Wil has starred in several other series including ABC’s hit Once Upon A Time as Sheriff of Nottingham.
In 2019, he will star in Netflix’s Messiah, which chronicles the modern world’s reaction to a man who first appears in the Middle East creating a groundswell of followers around him claiming he is the Messiah.
