Christopher Eccleston is a multiaward-winning film, television and stage actor. He has gained critical acclaim for his performances in a large number of high-profile TV series, including Doctor. Who (BBC) and Andrew Davies’ adaptation of Othello (BBC).
Eccleston has starred as a leading man alongside a number of major actresses, such as Renée Zellweger in A Price Above Rubies, Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth, Cameron Diaz and Jordana Brewster in The Invisible Circus, and Nicole Kidman in The Others.
Additional film credits include Malekith in Thor: The Dark World Major Henry West in 28 Days Later; David Stephens in Shallow Grave, McCullen in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra to name a few. In addition to his successful film career, he has continued to work in television, appearing in hit shows like Clocking Off, Flesh and Blood, The Second Coming, and as the Doctor in the mega-hit series Doctor Who.
