The main avenues to advertise with Pensacon include signs and branded phone charging stations inside the convention, placing an ad in the Pensacon Program Book, purchasing a banner ad on the new Pensacon 2017 app, and skyscraper advertising on the Pensacon website, all of which hold huge potential for extensive reach.
There were an estimated 22,500 attendees over the weekend of Pensacon 2016 with an economic impact of over $3 million.
Every Pensacon attendee will be given a Program Book that they will use as their guide while at the convention. These books are designed specifically to be the same size as a comic book, and each year a different notable artist creates the cover art. This makes the Pensacon Program Book a collector’s item to many attendees.
The new, customized app that is being built for Pensacon 2017 will offer opportunities for banner ads to discreetly appear alongside content. The app is currently available for free download on the Google Play Store, Android Store, and is coming soon to the Apple Store. Each ticket purchaser will be sent information about, and a link to download, the Pensacon 2017 app.
The Pensacon website is also a popular resource for attendees leading up to the convention. Purchasing tickets, booking hotel nights, planning their schedules – it can all done from the Pensacon website.
